Council was looking to adopt an amended Code of Practice - Access to Council Meetings and Documents (pursuant to Section 92 of the Local Government Act 1999).
The purpose of this Code is to outline Council's legal position with relation to the access of Council and Council Committee meetings or documents.
The community was invited to provide their feedback on this code of practice from 22 June to 22 July 2011.
A public notice appeared in the Messenger press and the copies of the document were available from Council's website and the Civic Centre.
This code of practice was considered by the Governance & Policy Committee on 11 May and endorsed for the purpose of proceeding with public consultation, noting that no significant changes had been made.
As no feedback was received from the community, the amended Code of Practice - Access to Council Meetings & Documents has been adopted.
