The role of Council's Development Assessment Panel is to make decisions on development applications presented by Council planning staff.
Established on 12 December 2006, the Panel consists of seven members, with a minimum of four independent members. Its role as planning authority operates under the current Development Act.
Council Development Assessment Panel meetings are held on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 10am in the Civic Centre, except where there are no reports to be considered.
The Panel reports annually to Council detailing issues for consideration.
All committees follow Council's rules of engagement and have adopted a standard style for Committee Agendas and Minutes. These details are provided within the current Committee Structure document. Council meetings are also conducted in accordance with the relevant Regulations under the Local Government Act, 1999. Council is also bound by all relevant Australian law, both State and Federal.
The latest agenda and minutes from previous meetings are available as PDF documents to download. Hard copies of all documents, along with all agendas and reports, are available from the Civic Centre. Past agendas and minutes are available on request.
