Dry Zone - Golden Grove

To reduce incidents of public nuisance and to prevent anti-social behaviour the Golden Grove District Centre and surrounding environment has been proclaimed a dry zone. Operating 24/7, the possession of liquor in unsealed containers and the consumption of liquor are prohibited within the designated areas shown on the map below.

As part of managing this dry zone, an Alcohol Management Plan is monitored by the Golden Grove Precinct Stakeholders group. This stakeholder group consists of the following members:

• Council staff
• Local businesses
• Neighbourhood Watch
• Schools
• South Australia Police
• The Local Member of Parliament
• Torrens Transit
• Ward Councillors.

The SA Police enforce laws within the dry zone area and should be contacted if problems occur.
