Freedom of Information

We comply with all legislation in this field and welcome enquiries under the Freedom of Information Act. A number of documents are available for inspection, free of charge at the Civic Centre, 571 Montague Road, Modbury during office hours, 8.45 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday. Enquiries concerning procedures for inspecting and purchasing documents should be directed to the Coordinator Records Management, at the Civic Centre.

Other Information Requests

Council has a policy of encouraging, as far as is practically possible, the provision of information to interested persons at little or no cost. In many instances, information may be provided in response to telephone enquiries. On occasions, a written reply or an invitation to inspect documents at the Council office may be more appropriate.

Under certain circumstances it may be necessary to apply for access to information pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act which may also involve the payment of search fees and other costs.
