Enviro Care Sunday

Enviro Care Sunday offers residents regular opportunities to dispose of their green organic waste and a range of hard refuse, in an environmentally responsible way.

Accepted items are as follows:

Free disposal

Fee to be paid for disposal

• Leaves, lawn cuttings and branches - up to 20cm diameter NO STUMPS OR LOGS please

• Metals - including copper and alloy

• Engine oil (maximum 20 litres)

• Lead acid motor vehicle batteries

• Plastic flower pots - must be unbroken and suitable for reuse

• Passenger vehicle or motorbike tyres - $5.00

• 4WD and light truck tyres (up to 16") - $7.00

• Truck tyre (over 16") - $11.00

• Tyres on rims - $12.00

• Fridges, freezers, airconditioners - $15.00

Note: any items containing NH3 refrigerant (found in icebox and caravan fridges), Butane or Propane will not be accepted.

Electronic waste

Electronic waste ("e-waste") cannot be accepted at Enviro Care Sunday:
- this includes TVs, stereos, DVD and VHS players (incl VHS tapes), electrical kitchen appliances, computers and printers.

These items should be taken to Council's chosen e-waste recycler:

Note: a 50% subsidy on disposal fees applies to City of Tea Tree Gully residents for a limited time (driver's licence ID required).

* E-Cycle Recovery guarantees no items to landfill and no dumping of e-waste components in developing countries.

Important Information

For City of Tree Gully residents only. Current proof of residency is required (eg driver's licence, rate notice or utilities bill).
Enviro Care Sunday is closed when temperature forecast is over 38 Degrees or the Supervisor declares the site unsafe.
No trucks please. No garden or rubbish removal contractors permitted.
