Eligibility

To be eligible you must be either:

  • A secondary school student from Year 10 upwards
  • A TAFE college student
  • A university student (where work experience is a mandatory requirement to complete a course).

Work experience positions are unpaid and placement is usually for 5 days (maximum 10 days).  Students must be registered with a recognised school or tertiary institution that covers them for personal insurance and public liability.

How to apply

You will need to complete this work experience application form(112 kb) at least four weeks prior to your proposed placement date.  Placements are subject to the availability, time constraints and work loads of council staff, so submitting an application does not guarantee a work experience placement.
