Council has made the following By-laws in accordance with the statutory provisions of the Local Government Act and Acts Interpretation Act. These By-laws are not in conflict with the Local Government Act or any other Act.
By-laws 1 - 3 and By-laws 5 - 6 came into effect on 21 December 2008.
By-law 4 came into effect on 18 January 2009.
Council has authorised various staffing positions to impose, vary and/or revoke conditions attached to new and existing permits. Please refer to the table of authorisations for further information.

To create a permit system for Council By-Laws, to fix maximum and continuing penalties for breaches of Council By-laws, to clarify the construction of such by-laws and to repeal by-laws.
For the management of the use of roads in Council's area.
For the management and regulation of the use of and access to Local Government Land owned by or under the care, control and management of Council (other than streets and roads), including the prohibition and regulation of particular activities on such Local Government Land.

In accordance with paragraph 2.1.1.1 of By-law No. 3 "Local Government Land", Council has determined that Waterworld Aquatic Centre may be used for aquatic activities without formal written permission.
