As the latest electronic gadgets and products enter the market, superseded goods become e-waste - the fastest growing waste stream in the modern world. 'E-waste' refers to all electrical and electronic appliances in a state of disrepair, obsolete, or simply no longer wanted. This ranges from mobile phones, TVs, computers, toys and gadgets, to fridges and microwave ovens.
Residents of our City have can responsibly dispose of their e-waste for recycling. E-Cycle Recovery, Council's industry partner, offers 50% off the usual processing fee* until 30 September 2013.
*This reduced subsidy is available to people residing in the City of Tea Tree Gully. Proof of identity, such as a rates notice or a current driver's licence is required upon arrival at E-Cycle Recovery. Commercial quantities including those from businesses or schools are not accepted.
