Mobile Phones

More than 800 million people around the world currently use mobile phones and that figure is growing daily. To help reduce our community's environmental impact, we participate in a recycling project to divert mobile phone from landfill. Residents can drop off unwanted mobile phones including their batteries (this excludes car kits and/or chargers) to:

Council's Civic Centre: 571 Montague Road, Modbury.

Every mobile phone donated for recycling or refurbishing means less local landfill and reduces global habitat destruction. Each usable phone also contributes to funds for primate conservation through Conservation Ark's (ZoosSA) commitment to the 'They're Calling on You' mobile phone recycling project.
