City of Tea Tree Gully Ageing Strategy 2010 – 2015

Council endorsed its first Ageing Strategy in 2001. As anticipated the proportion and numbers of older people in the City have continued to increase over the last decade.

The City of Tea Tree Gully Ageing Strategy 2010 - 2015 was informed by the World Health Organization's philosophy of Active Ageing - "the process of optimizing opportunities for physical, social and mental well-being throughout the life course, in order to extend healthy life expectancy, productivity and quality of life in older age" (2002)

Council endorsed its second Ageing Strategy in 2010.
