Turramurra Recreation Centre would like to introduce Junior-Gym to you and your child.
Junior-Gym is run during school terms on Tuesday & Friday mornings at 9.30am and 10.30am.
Junior-Gym is a movement-based program for children aged 0-5 that encourages children to explore and use a wide range of indoor play equipment.
Children are able to explore Junior-Gym with free play however, we request that guidance and supervision be maintained at all times. The instructor will also interact with the carers and their children during this time. This is a chance for parents/carers to share in their child's fun and achievements, while reinforcing a positive life-long attitude towards physical activities.
As parents/carers, you are advised to encourage your child to use each piece of equipment to its full capacity. Please ask your instructor if you are unsure of how to use a piece of equipment.
At the end of each session, there is a 10-minute group activity. This is both a fun and socialising time for all of the children. It also provides the opportunity to teach and develop your child's interactive skills and relax them before they are ready to go home.
