Hillcott Ward update
Thank you Hillcott Ward residents for your continued support and returning us as your councillors.
The beginning of a new term has started with unseasonable weather and its problems, especially keeping our open green spaces neat. Funding was approved for a six-day-a-week program which is getting this unsightly problem under control.
Footpath, road maintenance, traffic management and safety around schools, and maintenance of open spaces are projects that are among the many concerns we will be persisting with during this term.
The Australia Day citizenship and awards ceremony was well attended, with 80 new Australians welcomed into our community. Congratulations to our 2023 award winners: Outstanding Citizen of the Year, Colleen Bennett; and Outstanding Community Group of the Year, Tea Tree Gully Men’s Shed Women’s Workshop Group.
With many events for all ages still available, we encourage you to get involved. You can find events on the City of Tea Tree Gully website.
