Decision/Outcome:

During the consultation period a total of 69 people provided feedback regarding the proposed 20 year Joint Use Agreement for the Department for Education and Child Development (Greenwith Primary School) and Catholic Education SA (Lady of Hope School) for the use of Greenwith Community Centre (with the ability to book additional rooms at a discounted rate) and Greenwith Oval during school hours.

Majority of the feedback received was supportive of the proposal with only a small percentage indicating they oppose the agreement being renewed. Many people raised concerns in regards to the traffic and safety in the area during school drop off and pick up times. Council’s 2018-2019 draft budget incorporates some funding to address some of the matters whilst others will be raised with the two schools to find a solution as part of the drafting of the final agreement.

At its meeting on Tuesday 10 April 2018 Council considered the Community Outcomes Report and made a decision to grant the 20 year Joint Use Agreement as outlined above.
