Fund My Neighbourhood’ program
During consultation two people provided feedback on a proposal about a range proposed upgrades at Tilley Recreation Park, Surrey Downs. The feedback received was in support of the proposal.
At its meeting on Tuesday 10 April 2018 Council considered the Community Engagement Outcomes Report and made the decision to proceed with the proposed upgrades Tilley Recreation Park, Surrey Downs.

Past consultation information:
The State Government ‘Fund My Neighbourhood’ Program is a $40 million participatory budgeting program that gives South Australians the power to nominate and vote for projects to improve their local neighbourhoods. Several projects within the City of Tea Tree Gully were successful in receiving funding.
One of these projects was awarded $150,000 for upgrades to Tilley Recreation Park.
The planned upgrades for Tilley Recreation Park include:
- A shade structure on the upper terrace between the main tennis courts and clubrooms
- The original submission from the Golden Grove Tennis Club included a wide range of new amenities and facilities, including:
- footpath around the tennis courts
- drinking fountain
- picnic setting
- additional seating
