The Tea Tree Gully City Soccer Club should have a new home by early 2024.

Final designs are underway for new facilities for the club to lease at Tilley Recreation Park, Surrey Downs – subject to endorsement by Council.

“This will give us the opportunity to become more engaged with our members as a community sporting club,” said the club’s president Damien Kuypers.

The club of about 450 players will be able to develop and grow further once it moves into the new purpose-built facilities. It currently hires facilities on a regular basis.

The new clubrooms are part of a $9.5 million master-plan upgrade for Tilley Recreation Park over two years.

This includes better parking, paths and lighting to link the club to other sports facilities across the site, plus other improvements. Further details  will be released as soon as possible.

The State Government has contributed $4.75 million for the master plan upgrades. The remaining costs will be largely met by the City of Tea Tree Gully.
