Meadowvale Reserve at Modbury had a big upgrade last financial year and there’s more to come this year.

Work will be carried out to reduce erosion, moderate water flow and improve water quality and biodiversity. 

A new path to link the western and eastern sections of the reserve will also be built. 

The reserve underwent a $1.2 million upgrade last financial year to improve access from Meadowvale Road to Modbury Hospital, Tea Tree Plaza and the O-Bahn interchange.  

A $750,000 State Government Open Space Fund grant helped fund the upgrade, with the Council paying the remaining $450,000.

Project schedule

  • Design: Mid-2022 to late 2022
  • Construction tender: Early 2023 to mid-2023    
  • Construction: Late 2023 to early 2024
  • Complete: Early 2024.
