CWMS transition revegetation project
Published on 24 January 2023
Twelve streets in Modbury and St Agnes will have a combined 112 new street trees planted during April.
This is to improve shade and street appeal following infrastructure upgrades by SA Water when transitioning properties from CWMS (Community Wastewater Management System) to the mains sewer system.
Council will re-plant areas that have been upgraded by SA Water each autumn during the transition works.
A range of suitable trees will be planted, mostly native species.
This project will improve biodiversity, habitat and the liveability of the area, which in turn benefit community wellbeing.
This $400,000 project is jointly funded with Green Adelaide via their Greening Neighbourhoods initiative.
