Civic Park Carols ticket ballot details announced

Christmas will return to the City of Tea Tree Gully with this year’s Civic Park Carols in Modbury confirmed for 12 December 2021, following approval from SA Health.

City of Tea Tree Gully Deputy Mayor Lucas Jones said, it was a pleasure to announce the return of the much loved community event, despite the challenges presented by COVID-19.

“We are delighted to be able to deliver what will likely be one of the only Christmas carols events in the state this year.”

“It will look slightly different, with attendance capped by SA Health at 6,800”, he said.

“Council has been working hard behind the scenes to ensure we deliver a fair process for our residents and the broader South Australian community to access tickets.”

From 10 am Monday 18 October until 9pm Thursday 21 October, everyone will have the opportunity to register for tickets through an online ballot system conducted by Ticketmaster.

Individuals can request up to 5 tickets, with the majority of tickets reserved for City of Tea Tree Gully residents.

Once registrations close, the ballot system will electronically and randomly select those people who will have the opportunity to attend the event.

Successful applicants will be advised in the days after registrations close and tickets will be sent out digitally a few weeks before Civic Park Carols.

“We are hopeful that as we draw closer to the event, that restrictions will ease further, and we will be able to welcome even more people to the event,” said Deputy Mayor Jones.

“I for one, am excited to bring Christmas cheer back to as many people as possible in our local community,” he said.

Those that unfortunately miss out on securing a ticket will still be able to enjoy the show in the comfort of their living rooms by tuning into the live stream.

More information on ticketing and the live stream will be released soon.
