Some local sporting clubs are set to undergo more than $19 million in upgrades over the next few years, thanks to funding partnerships between Tea Tree Gully Council and the State Government.
New clubrooms are on the way for Modbury Sporting Club, Tea Tree Gully City Soccer Club and Tea Tree Gully Gym Sports, as well as a host of upgrades for other sporting groups.
The Council has allocated about $10.7 million towards the upgrades, while the State Government will contribute about $17.9 million.

In addition, a $9.5 million upgrade of Tilley Recreation Park might also take place, with the Council expecting to receive a $4.75 million grant offer from the State Government due to an election commitment.
The Council has already agreed to set aside $3.25 million to complete the Tilley Recreation Park Master Plan project. This is further supported by a $1.5m State Government grant previously awarded to the Tea Tree Gully City Soccer Club towards a new clubroom and changerooms.
The Tilley Recreation Park upgrade could also include car parking improvements, a dog park, improved sports lighting and pedestrian pathways.
Many of the projects will be subject to community engagement and annual budget processes.
