Modbury Soccer Club upgrade
Published on 25 November 2021
An upgrade worth over a million dollars is coming to Modbury Soccer Club in Ridgehaven.
The upgrades are being funded by Council (final amount to be determined), State Government ($671,000) and the club ($75,000).
Four inclusive change rooms, a players’ race and tiered seating will be built as part of the project to benefit the club and wider community.
Upgraded change room facilities supports the club’s vision for growth in female sport and allows the club to attract new, and retain their 100-plus, female players.
Works are planned to commence in March 2022 and be completed by mid-to-late year.
Modbury Soccer Club, formed in 1964, has been located at its current location on the corner of Golden Grove and Milne Roads since 1972.
With over 400 members, the club caters for all age groups and abilities and fields teams in senior men’s and women’s, junior boys and girls, and MiniRoos competitions.
