A $1.2 million upgrade of a Modbury section of O-Bahn Linear Park North will begin in late 2021.

A new accessible bridge and shared-use paths will be part of stage 1 works, as well as lighting improvements and landscaping.

It's part of our plans to improve accessibility by improving footpaths to Modbury Hospital, Tea Tree Plaza and the O-Bahn interchange.

It’s also part of longer-term plans to improve the liveability and appeal of the Modbury area for residents and investors.

A $750,000 State Government Open Space Fund grant will offset our costs.

Stage 1 works are scheduled to be completed by mid-2022.

Further works are planned for the area for next financial year, including creek works to address erosion, and installation of paths and bridges under the O-Bahn track - subject to final approval by the Council.
