Safer roads for residents

Residents will now be able to enjoy safer roads with the completion of Canberra Crescent and Robert Arnold Avenue upgrades in Valley View.

The work delivers on Council’s goal to build safe, appealing and accessible streets, paths and open spaces.

These two roads meet at a T-junction, and were delivered together for efficiency and better allocation of budget resources.

Cost of upgrade:

• Canberra Crescent - $257,400
• Robert Arnold Avenue - $134,300

Work included complete kerb and gutter replacement, a new road seal and part crossover adjustments.

Despite the challenges of excess ground water during the works, Council was able to deliver the project successfully.

The project aligns with the Council’s Strategic Plan 2025 objectives to create neighbourhoods that are easy to move around and fit for purpose.
