A crowd of 10,000 people is expected to roll up to Modbury’s Civic Park on Friday 12 October for Touch-a-Truck, a free school holiday event.
Tea Tree Gully Council will bring about $4 million in Council vehicles onto the park so kids can play in them.
This will include street sweepers, graders and front-end loaders.
Monster waste collections trucks, emergency services vehicles and prime movers will also be on site.
The event will run from 9.30 to 2.30pm. A sensory zone, with no tooting of horns or loud announcements, will operate from 9.30 to 11am to enable children with sensory needs to join in the fun.
It is the fourth time the Council has hosted the event for the community.
