Golden Fields Skate Park in Golden Grove has a stunning new mural.
Well-known street artist, Tarns One (aka Adam Poole-Mottishaw) created the artwork in late October following input from community members and park users.
During the October schools holidays, more than 150 regular park users attended a public event and shared ideas for the mural. The feedback was combined to create the final design.
Tarns One also used the opportunity to mentor a young indigenous artist from nearby Salisbury, Shane Cook, who is involved in Carclew Youth Arts.
Murals such as this are an effective method of graffiti control and have been used successfully by Council to reduce the resources required to address illegal graffiti.
The new artwork replaces the previous mural which was damaged earlier in the year.
