A recently completed major upgrade of Modbury’s Dalaston Reserve may help to create new opportunities for savvy investors and developers.
With home buyers looking for new housing close to quality parks and transport, the $465,000 redevelopment of the reserve features new pedestrian and cycling paths to the O-Bahn Interchange, irrigated recreation spaces and landscaping, a new playground and improved lighting.
The area was rezoned in 2015 to encourage the development of new and diverse housing – especially high quality medium residential developments, such as townhouses.
The reserve upgrade is part of long-term plans to transform Modbury.
Council will invest $1.7 million in upgrades in the Modbury area this financial year. This follows a $2.1 million investment in improvements to the area last financial year, including redevelopment of Smart Road and North East Road streetscapes.
