With home buyers looking for new housing close to quality parks and transport, a major upgrade of Modbury’s Dalaston Reserve will help create new opportunities for savvy investors and developers.

The $365,000 redevelopment under way at the reserve, to be completed by June 2019, will include new pedestrian and cycling paths to the O-Bahn Interchange, irrigated recreation spaces and landscaping, a new playground and improved lighting.

The area was rezoned in 2015 to encourage the development of new and diverse housing – especially high quality medium residential developments, such as townhouses.

The reserve upgrade is part of long-term plans to transform Modbury.

Council will invest a total of $2.1 million in improvements to the area this financial year, including redevelopment of Smart Road and North East Road streetscapes.
