Is your dog microchipped?
Microchipping your dog can make it easier to reunite you with your pet if it gets lost.

State government legislation says all dogs over 3 months of age must be microchipped. Puppies should be microchipped by 12 weeks of age or at point of sale – whichever occurs first.

Don’t risk a fine
From 1 April 2019, we will be checking dogs that have not been microchipped. A fine of $170 will apply for each dog that is not microchipped.  Registration fees are cheaper for microchipped dogs.
