The closure of Holden this month spells the end of a proud era of motor vehicle manufacture in South Australia, says Tea Tree Gully Mayor Kevin Knight.

“My thoughts are with our residents and their families, who are impacted by this closure.

“Whether the next steps for Holden workers are to look for new jobs, start a business, explore training options or perhaps consider retirement, I am sure that our community will get behind them as much as possible.

“I encourage those affected to access assistance offered by the State Government to help plan their futures and for family and personal wellbeing support,” said Mayor Knight.
