Fun and fitness meet at Golden Fields Reserve, with a new state-of-the-art outdoor fitness equipment now available to use.
The $300,000 project, funded by the Government of South Australia, also includes new pathway lighting.
There are three fitness equipment zones, covering a wide range of activities - from vault and parallel bars through to bench press, quad extension and tai chi wheel stations.
The fitness equipment is a great way to stay active and is suitable for people of all ages and abilities.
And exercising outdoors can have some great benefits, especially at this time of the year, according to local fitness business owner Andi Hite.
“There are huge benefits of exercising in cool air. You burn more calories due to your body using extra energy to warm up. You also benefit from Vitamin D and breathing in fresh air,” said Andi.
An official opening will be held at the site. Watch this page for details.
Golden Fields also includes children’s playgrounds, a skate park, BMX track, rage cage and amphitheatre.
