The 200-plus members of the Golden Grove Tennis Club are able to enjoy increased community and social benefits and competition opportunities with the construction of their dedicated clubroom.

The clubroom at Tilley Recreation Park features a canteen, kitchen, bar, function space and bathroom amenities.

On Friday 26 March the clubroom was officially opened by Deputy Mayor Lucas Jones and Premier Steven Marshall.

Council was successful in receiving $369,800 from the Office for Recreation, Sport and Racing for the clubroom construction.  Council contributed $238,000 towards the works with funding also coming from the club ($87,000) and Tennis SA ($40,000).

Golden Grove Tennis Club has a current lease over the nine tennis courts at Tilley Recreation Park, with Council supporting a lease agreement over the new clubroom facility.

The dedicated clubroom facility will enable the club to continue supporting their senior, junior, mid-week ladies and social doubles competitions. The club also has a strong focus on junior development with ANZ’s Tennis Hot Shots program and junior academy programs.
