The City of Tea Tree Gully’s new Service Centre is one step closer to becoming operational. The site at 1100 Golden Grove road was previously occupied by Futuris and purchased by Council in November 2016.

Construction company, SHAPE, has been appointed as the builder for the refurbishment of the site. Project work to date has focused on the re-fit design. The first on-site works will commence in September.

Works will ramp up in the coming months with the Service Centre expected to be occupied by Council Asset and Environment teams in mid-2019.

Council’s existing outdoor workforce base at 118 Tolley Road is for sale. This depot has served the community since the 1970s. Since it was established, the City of Tea Tree Gully’s population has more than doubled.

Expression of interest for the St Agnes depot will be presented to elected members in a confidential report at the 11 September Council meeting.
