One-off financial grants of up to $10,000 are available to community groups and not-for-profit organisations in the latest round of our Community Grants program.
Those seeking financial support for projects, programs, equipment and events that will benefit our City and our residents are encouraged to apply.
Past successful applicants include the Road Runners Softball Club which received an Equipment Grant for safety nets, batting tees, face shields and an outfield pitching machine, while the Surrey Downs Community Centre received an Environmental Grant for their sustainability project, including raised garden beds and a worm farm.
The current round of grant funding opens for applications on 5 September and closes 3 October 2017 at 3pm.
Those interested in applying are encouraged to attend one of the information sessions at the Tea Tree Gully Library. There are two information sessions to choose from:
- Wednesday 6 September 2017, 2-3pm
- Monday 11 September 2017, 6-7pm
The one hour meetings will include an overview of the Community Grants Program, information on the funding categories and eligibility criteria, as well as tips on how to complete the online application form.
