A pedestrian refuge has been installed on Helicon Drive (Golden Grove) at part of City of Tea Tree Gully plans to improve road crossings this financial year. 

The refuge includes DDA-compliant ramps and handrails. Signage and line marking have also been improved at the site. 

An existing emu crossing will also be upgraded to a koala school crossing with flashing lights at Richardson Drive (Wynn Vale) later this financial year.

The above projects represent an investment of about $140,000 - part of a $600,000 overall investment by Council on traffic management and signage this financial year.

Other projects will include the installation of new signage and line marking at other sites, traffic island works and replacement of traffic signs.
