Update 5 August 2021

With restrictions continuing to ease in South Australia, it is now business as usual for Council services, programs and facilities.

For information on specific Council services, programs and events and how they may be effected by COVID-19, search the individual pages on this website.

When visiting Council facilities, please abide by current COVID-19 guidelines, use the QR code to check-in, practice physical distancing and good hand hygiene, and follow Council staff directions.

Update 27 July 2021 - edited 30 July 2021

Council is currently working through revised state government restrictions and will restore services and reopen facilities as soon as we can.

Not all services and facilities are available immediately after lockdown - please be patient. 

Essential services continue: waste collection, urgent stormwater and septic tank requests, animal management, removal of fallen trees and branches.

Re-opening times:

  • Tea Tree Gully Library - re-open Tuesday 3 August 2021 - all Library events are cancelled until further notice.
  • Recreation centres - re-open on Saturday 7 August 2021 for sporting competitions.
    Burragah and Golden Grove - programs and hirers - reopen on Monday 2 August
    Turramurra - programs and hirers - reopen on Wednesday 4 August. 

All other Council services are currently being reviewed. Programs and events are on hold and currently being reviewed.

Update 21 July 2021

This evening, SA Health has declared the City of Tea Tree Gully Civic Centre (including the library) an exposure site on Saturday 10 July between 11.30am and 1pm.

Anyone that was present onsite at the City of Tea Tree Gully Civic Centre (including the library) on Saturday 10 July 2021 between 11.30am and 1.00pm must:

  • immediately quarantine for 14 days from 10 July 2021
  • get tested immediately and get tested again on Day 13 from 10 July 2021
  • complete a survey form on the SA Health Contact Tracing website to notify SA Health that they were present at the site at the relevant time.

Update 21 July 2021

This morning, due to SA Health directives, many Council staff are in quarantine.

Council is providing essential services only. 

Our waste contractor (Solo) is still operating and there will be no impact on waste collection services. 

We're working closely with SA Health. Our number one priority is to keep our community and staff safe.

Due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak, all Council facilities are closed until further notice. 

Essential services will continue:

  • Waste collection
  • Urgent stormwater and septic tank requests
  • Animal management
  • Removal of fallen trees and branches.

Our operations will be reviewed in line with restrictions imposed by SAPOL and/or advice from SA Health.

Library during lockdown - your holds and returns

  • Returns - All due dates extended to 4 August 2021 with no overdue fees
  • Holds - All available holds extended for an extra 21 days
  • Expiring library cards - Expiry dates extended to 30 September 2021.

Update 19 July 2021

SA Health has informed Council that a staff member has been diagnosed with COVID-19.

Out of caution we are closing all Council facilities on Tuesday 20 July 2021. 

This will allow us to determine if there is any risk to the community. 

Our waste collection services will continue to operate uninterrupted.

We are working closely with SA Health and will reopen when we are advised that it is safe to do so.

We are committed to keeping our community safe and will update this page regularly.
