The Modbury Age Friendly Precinct project is a co-design for age-friendly communities.

It was undertaken as a joint partnership between the City of Tea Tree Gully, ECH, UniSA Match Studio, with funding from the Office for the Ageing.

Research undertaken by an interdisciplinary team of Match Studio students and academics explored the application of age friendly community principles in an existing precinct located in Modbury.

They also worked closely with the community and other stakeholders to help plan and build on ideas for an innovative age friendly community area.

An exhibition showcasing the work opened on Monday 8 October at the UniSA’s Hawke Building.

The Hon Stephen Wade, MLC, Minister for Health and Wellbeing opened the exhibition.

A final report is expected to be delivered by the end of December.
