Compassionate Communities program

To support our community in preparing for end of life in a compassionate way, Council has received funding to develop a Compassionate Communities program.

Between August 2021 and April 2022 we will trial activities, information sessions and places where we will offer opportunities to have end of life conversations.

We hope it will help our community to have these conversations in a compassionate, resilient, mindful and prepared way.

Let’s start talking, so we can stop worrying and make the most of our lives.

Funding was provided by The Hospital and Research Foundation with support from Palliative Care SA.

Cookbook

Our favourite foods are often bound by precious memories that remind us of a loved one.

Maybe they used to cook this for you and you now continue the tradition which takes you back to special moments in time.

As part of the Compassionate Community project we are calling out to the community to submit a favourite recipe that a loved one once prepared for you.  We hope to create an E-cookbook that is a meaningful and delicious way of creating memories. The E-cookbook will be download on this webpage to share with everyone.

Please complete the below form if you would like to take part in this wonderful project.
