A Revisionist History of Woomera - part of history festival

Join us as author and historian, Michael Wohltmann, delivers a comprehensive overview of the Woomera story.

Michael Wohltmann brings a wealth of knowledge through more than 30 years of teaching history, Australian history and Australian politics. He has also written several books relating to South Australia’s history.

Michael will provide an informative talk about the future of Woomera and SA becoming a space and defence state. He will discuss his book Looking back to see the future: A revisionist history of Woomera 1847-1980 and discuss what prompted him to write it and the past’s relevance today.

The session will include open question time, book signing and recognize past and current people involved in the nation-building project.

Copies of Michael Wohltmann’s book will be available to purchase on the evening.
