Make a miniature diorama or assemblage depicting your shed or other space. 

Beginning with a sturdy wooden box, saw, drill, nail, paint and use other materials to construct your own perfect space.

John and James will also introduce you to assemblage art and the famous artists who constructed astonishing art boxes as part of this art form. 

What is a diorama? A 3D model representing a scene with objects and figures

What is an assemblage? A work of art made by grouping together found objects

This workshop coincides with Gallery 1855's 2020 Fringe Festival exhibition What's He Building In There? Artworks by James Parker and John Whitney. 

For beginners aged 16 years and older.

Cost covers tools and materials.
