Carving porcelain with ceramic artist Simone Linder-Patton 

Learn the traditional Chinese technique of carving into un-fired porcelain.

Using a range of Chinese and other carving implements, you will create a variety of 3D designs and patterns. After the workshop your carvings will be fired and glazed for you to collect at a later date.

About the artist: Simone works from her studio at JamFactory Seppeltsfield in the Barossa Valley. She learnt the Chinese technique of porcelain carving after travelling to the Chinese city of Jingdezhen for an artist’s residency.

Suitable for 18 years and over. No previous experience required

Cost: $60
Tools and materials provided. Masks are provided at a cost of $5 each.
