Wynn Vale Dam offers visitors and locals a serene outdoor experience. You can enjoy a picnic with a water view, a stroll along the boardwalk, and some quiet time to take in the tranquillity.
To fully appreciate the scope of the dam, enter from Park Lake Drive and head towards the boardwalk, where you will see a range of birds, ducks and other wildlife.
There is more to explore if you head (anti-clockwise) past the resident horses to the children’s playground featuring slides, sea-saw and swings. Toilet facilities are situated along the southern edge of the dam near the Wynn Vale Community Garden.
The popular Jubilee Way parkrun (a weekly 5km timed walk, jog or run) also occurs every Saturday morning from the Jubilee Community Centre and includes the dam exterior as a part of the route.
Fun Fact - Wynn Vale dam generates 400 megalitres of treated stormwater annually and is used to irrigate Council’s parks and reserves in the dryer months.
