Pop on your wellys (rubber boots), put on your winter woollies and a rain jacket - now you are set for a Welly Walk! 

Join us to find a puddle to jump in, some mud to squelch through and spot how many animals you can see.  Each walk will be at a different location and the main focus will be on enjoying time together in the great outdoors – your kids will show you how it is done!  There will also be an optional activity at each site.  

Age suitability:  0 - 12 years with parent/carer
$5 per walk per family - this is inclusive 2 adults and up to 4 children. If you have more children attending, please purchase an additional ticket.

Monday 13 July @ 10am -  Anstey’s Hill
What can you find on the scavenger hunt?  Gum-nuts? Birds? Leaves? Tick off each item as you find it!!  Also, grab a sun catcher activity pack to make at home.

Follow the Quarry Track and park your car in the Anstey Hill car park
Meet at the shelter near the car park. Toilets are not available at this site.

Tuesday 14 July @ 10am - Civic Park - CANCELLED

Wednesday 15 July @ 10am - Wynn Vale Dam
Come and join in a fun welly walk around the dam and see what you can find along the way. We will have stamping stations set up along the trail – so follow your activity sheet to collect all the stamps. At the end you will receive a take home pack with some activities to do!!

Thursday 16 July @ 10am - Cobbler Creek Recreation Park
Become a nature detective!!  Discover a number of things using your mini magnifying glass (supplied) and mark off your activity sheet as you go!! Take home some fun colouring in and activity sheets as well.

Friday 17 July, Linear Park @ 10am - Highbury
Come and learn all about the plants that were used as food, medicines and materials by the Aboriginal people many years ago, from one of our Horticulturalists of 30 years, Mick Medic. Mick will also take you through the 'fairy garden' where we will stop for a story and then onto the 'bee hotel'. Take home activity pack includes questions about what you learnt on the day, as well as colouring in sheets and how to build your own bee hotel at home!!

We require details for each person attending as per COVID-19 restrictions. Social distancing will be in place and hand sanitiser will be provided. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell.
