13. Kam Man
Kam Man has been a Tea Tree Gully Library user for over 25 years. At the beginning of 2020 he became a home delivery service volunteer so he could give back to the community.
Kam was assigned a client who was unable to come to the door due to her illness. Kam had to collect the books from the library and leave them at her door.
He formed an idea in his mind of what Rebecca was like and what she might enjoy reading, without ever having met her. He did a great job as Rebecca says his selections are always interesting. They developed a friendship via SMS and after a surprise Easter present, Kam realised that they “are friends even though we’ve not met each other.”
