26 Stories - Sue Fox

For Sue Fox, libraries are about books, but books aren’t everything. The Library’s social events – particularly the author talks – are something she is thankful for.

Through the Tea Tree Gully Library’s author events, in which local authors talk about their newest books and answer questions, Sue was given the opportunity to talk to other authors and fill in the gaps in her own research when telling her family history story.

By providing social events in a familiar environment, Sue saw herself introduced to new authors she wouldn’t usually read and allowed her to socially discuss these books with other avid readers.

“The Library is a really good place to learn, to be exposed to possibilities, and enjoy yourself, the books and the safe, social environment. For me, those things have made the biggest impact on my life.”
