Our team of volunteers meet with students to provide free tutoring in reading, writing and conversational English.

We offer a wide range of services to suit your needs, including classes and one-on-one options for beginner or intermediate English speakers.

About our services:

Learning English classes

English as a second language group classes in reading, writing and conversational English. These are held in the Community Learning Centre during the school term.

Bookings for these classes are essential.

English conversation practice groups

English as a second language conversation practice groups held weekly during the school term.

Conversation groups are a great way to meet new people and practice your English. These are fun and relaxed groups led by an English Literacy volunteer.

Bookings for these classes is essential.

Online English classes

Facilitated by an experienced teaching volunteer our live, online classes will help with confidence in reading, writing and understanding English.

Access to a computer, a reliable internet connection and a basic knowledge of technology is essential to join these classes.

One-on-one English literacy tutoring

A team of volunteers meet with students to provide one-on-one English literacy tutoring in the Library.

Road to IELTS preparation course

This is a self-study International English Language Testing System preparation course to help candidates prepare for the IELTS exam.

It provides access to free online self-study materials to support IELTS general training and IELTS academic test preparations.

You can use Road to IELTS in the library, or at home.
