Program structure

Waterworld's Learn to Swim program is a skills-based system. Students will advance to the next level once the skills for the given level have been achieved.

See the Learn to Swim class levels details

  • We continuously assess students' skills and place them into their appropriate levels
  • Parents/caregivers have access to the child’s online account, allowing them to monitor the child’s progress
  • We focus on fundamental building blocks of learning to swim, progressing towards teaching water confidence and stroke efficiency to support safety around water
  • Swimming lessons are offered on a school term basis. Existing members are given priority to enrol for the following term

Free initial assessment

If you are unsure of what class level is most suitable for your child, you can book a free one-on-one assessment by submitting an online enquiry or calling 8397 7439

  • These assessments give us a chance to determine where your child is most suited to start in our curriculum. It will also give you the opportunity to visit the centre, see us in action and discuss swimming goals
  • Assessments are suitable for children 5 years and older

Our instructors

Our instructors are qualified with AUSTSWIM or ACTIVE TRAINING and have DCSI police clearances.

We continuously provide in-house training and support to instructors to ensure we have the best learning outcomes.

Absentee policy

If your child cannot attend a session due to sickness or other reason, please contact Waterworld prior to the session by calling 8397 7439 or submitting an online enquiry

  • For notified absences, a credit will be placed on your child’s record to be used for either a make-up lesson or a free family pass (to be used in the current season). We will not credit lessons missed that are not notified.
  • Make-up lessons will be available after week three of the term and must be used in the term they occurred.
  • Credits will not be transferred to the next term and refunds will not be offered for lessons unused before the end of the term.
  • Make-up lessons can be booked by calling us on 8397 7439 or at our reception at any time.
