Disability Access and Inclusion Plan

 The Disability Access and Inclusion Plan was adopted by Council on Tuesday 25 August 2020.

Achievements
  • Community reference group of people with lived experience who guide Council programs and services
  • Inclusive website that can be customised to individual needs 
  • Communication access boards at Council reception
  • Disability awareness training for staff and some volunteers
  • Upgraded buildings with accessible toilets, ramps, showers and clubrooms 
  • Volunteer buddy program to assist people living with disabilities to volunteer in an area that interests them
  • Inclusive equipment and a wheelchair track at Solandra Reserve playground


Companion card

A companion card allows a carer or companion to attend some events at no charge. This applies when accompanying a person who has paid entry to Waterworld and some events at Golden Grove Arts Centre.

Please contact the event organiser to arrange access for mobility aids, guide dog, audience location for sight, audio, toilets, etc.

Pavely is a social planning app recently launched by the State Government. It enables users to find, rate and review inclusive venues in South Australia - Pavely
