Neighbourhood events grant

Host a gathering for your street, cul-de-sac or unit block.

Grants up to $150 are available to assist residents and community groups to host small events to connect and strengthen neighbourhood relationships. 

If you would like to make the gathering happen, please read the conditions below and submit an application.

Our next round of neighbourhood grants will open in September 2024. 

  

Online application process

Step 1.Check whether you meet eligibility criteria

  • Applicant/s must be either a City of Tea Tree Gully resident or a City of Tea Tree Gully based not-for-profit community group, club or institution.
  • The event or activity must be held in the City of Tea Tree Gully council area.

Step 2.Funding is not available for

  • Events at the rear of properties - eg backyards
  • Private events - eg birthdays, religious or commercial events 
  • The purchase of alcohol and permits to consume alcohol.

Step 4.Complete the online form 

Applications open once a year in September. Apply by completing the form online.

Step 5.Response time

You will receive an email confirming the outcome of your application within 10 working days.

Step 6.Acquittal requirements after the event

Copies of receipts, photos and evidence of the event being promoted must be submitted within 4 weeks of the event.

Guidelines

  • Up to a maximum of $150 in funding is available per application
  • Applicants are eligible to receive funding once over a 12 month period
  • Events or activities must be held within the City of Tea Tree Gully on public property
  • Grants are only available to City of Tea Tree Gully residents and not-for-profit community groups, clubs and institutions
  • Applicants should allow 4 weeks from the close of applications to receive funds
  • Copies of receipts, photos and evidence the event has been promoted to the wider community needs to be submitted within four weeks of event to acquit the funds. If acquittal requirements are not met, recipients may be asked to reimburse the funding.
