E-waste, batteries and phones

Like other recyclables, e-waste, batteries and mobile phones contain valuable resources like gold and copper that can be reused. The recovered resources are then used as raw materials in the manufacture of new products like asphalt, building products, batteries and metal alloy.

These items can be hazardous if disposed of incorrectly in your general waste bin and can cause significant harm to the environment.

Council offers residents a number of free e-waste, battery and mobile phone recycling options.
