Precincts Design Open Space

The City’s open spaces provide valuable green spaces to play, interact, exercise and rest. They serve a range of economic, social, environmental, heritage and cultural functions including providing opportunities for exercise, fitness and associated health benefits, providing habitats, enhancing urban character, sense of place and local identity.

By focusing on inclusivity, safety, accessibility, environmental sustainability and flexibility, these spaces can serve diverse functions, cater to a wide range of age groups and activities and promote a sense of community.
