Active Living Open Spaces

Open Spaces -

  • Include areas where people can rest but still be visually connected to active spaces.
  • Provide comfortable, strategically placed seating, such as benches, shade structures or swing chairs, to allow for rest and social interaction between physical activities.
  • Design spaces that encourage socialisation, such as pavilions, picnic areas and open-air community centres. These spaces can host group activities, events or simply provide spots for spontaneous interaction.
